We believe achieving the best possible result for a client requires the careful execution of a well thought out litigation plan. We recognize many disputes may be resolved before or early in the litigation process. We endeavor to identify such cases, and get them resolved as early as possible, to minimize legal fees and eliminate the inherent risks associated with litigation. When a matter can not or should not be resolved, however, we aggressively represent the interests of our clients.

After determining a claim cannot be resolved without further litigation, we take the first step in formulating a litigation plan by identifying precisely what alleged facts and circumstances comprise the basis of the claim. After determining the available defenses both factually and legally, we then work with the client to formulate the objectives of the litigation. One attorney will be responsible for the case until resolution, and we strive to staff each case with the best interest of the client in mind. Our size and resultant lower overhead, eliminates the need to staff matters with three or more attorneys.

We believe in efficiency. Our firm takes great pride in executing each litigation plan in a proactive rather than a reactive manner so that cases do not languish for years. Aggressively moving the case forward by securing scheduling orders and taking the lead in preliminary discovery efforts enables us to quickly identify those cases that need to be resolved or tried. We are accustomed to regular reporting and embrace the same, as it helps narrow the issues and keeps the matter progressing in accordance with a well-thought out litigation plan.

Finally, certain cases must be tried. In the history of the firm we have compiled an impressive record of success at trial in all areas of our practice.

We strive to make easier the jobs of the business owners, managers, in-house counsel, and claims professionals we assist. If asked, we offer our clients advice and legal education services focused on both preventing and administering claims. Our attorneys are available and responsive to clients. We are sensitive to reporting and billing guidelines crucial to our clients’ business interests, and have the technical capability to incorporate and comply with customized billing formats. We have implemented a state of the art computer and communications system, including internet e-mail access and the ability to coordinate with paperless files. Most importantly, we are sensitive to the needs of the people with whom we work and the clients we represent. At all times we keep our clients and claims professionals informed, and work with them as a “team” to efficiently and successfully resolve litigation by settlement, dispositive motion, or trial.
